RCMP have charged two males who are suspected to have pointed cap guns out of the window of a vehicle in Cole Harbour.
The suspected males had removed the red tips from the guns to make them look real.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m., RCMP received a call from the public that a passenger pointed a firearm out the window of a vehicle.
Police located the suspect vehicle and conducted a high risk traffic stop on the Forest Hills extension. Â
Traffic was delayed as officers ensured the safety of the public and police. Â
The arrested parties were transported to the Cole Harbour Detachment. Â
Two cap guns were seized.
Two males, 18 and 19 years old, are facing Criminal Code weapon charges and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court August 6. Â
The matter remains under investigation.
